Nani Warns Against Fiticious APC Registration Without Commitment In Ethiope West

Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun John Nani, has warned  against what he termed non commitment and fiticious registration of members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, without being captured at the online portal of the party.

Nani who gave this warning at Ogharaki in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State disclosed that

that only registered party members will be recognised going forward.
Speaking at the first enlarge meeting of the APC in 2026, John Nani held that the party position in the exercise that will commence by January 25 to 31, 2026 is discipline ahead of future elections.
According to him, “Party membership is no longer a matter of claim or assumption but of formal registration and anyone who fails to register cannot be legitimately identify as a party member.
“APC would no longer accommodate ‘fictitious membership’ or individuals who associate with the party without being captured in its official records as registration is the sole determinant of membership.
“Only registered members would be acknowledged by the party and allowed to fully participate in its internal processes.
“So, my advice is that everybody must come out to register,” he said, underscoring the need for collective compliance to strengthen the party at the grassroots.
His position was reinforced during the meeting by party executives, who disclosed that the APC e-registration and INEC registration exercise in Ethiope West would take place between January 25 and January 31, 2026.
The exercise, they noted, is mandatory for members seeking to vote or be voted for in future elections.
While several party leaders and stakeholders were present at the meeting, discussions largely aligned with Nani’s stance, with speakers echoing the call for full registration as a foundation for party unity, legitimacy, and electoral readiness.
The meeting also served as a platform for party leaders to reaffirm their loyalty to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and President Bola Tinubu.
Participants commended the governor’s MORE Agenda, citing its impact across the state, and pledged continued support ahead of the next election cycle.
Responding to Nani’s position, ward leaders from Oghara, Jesse and Mosogar assured that the registration message would be taken to the grassroots, with commitments to mobilise party members to comply before the deadline.
